Tulane University (Newcomb Department of Music)
The Tulane University Department of Music was founded in 1909, and is a division of the liberal arts colleges of Tulane University. T he Newcomb Department of Music offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in music and music history, Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in composition, performance, jazz studies, and music theater, Bachelor of Science degree in music science and technology, as well as t he equivalent Masters degrees. Music at Tulane University encompasses the history, theory, composition, and performance of music in a variety of styles and genres.
