The Music Department offers coursework in the rhythmic, harmonic, melodic, and structural aspects of Western music, its notation and composition. Courses are also available in the music of various world cultures including Music and Society in Latin America, Black American Music, and Music of the Jewish People. This fall we are offering American Music, Survey of Symphonic Music, and Tonal Counterpoint.
