The College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences has two major missions:
1.To provide all undergraduate students with a strong liberal arts program in the areas of fine arts, humanities, social sciences, multicultural studies, interdisciplinary studies and international studies that will enable students to make a life-long contribution to the social, political, economic and artistic development of the region, the country and the world.
2.To provide strong major minor and interdisciplinary degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level that will prepare individuals for professional success in a wide variety of career choices.
