The Horton School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The Music Therapy program is accredited by the American Music Therapy Association.All students seeking to major in any music degree program must give a satisfactory performance audition (including sight-reading) on their major performance instrument for a faculty jury by the end of the first major semester of enrollment.
