Music at Metro offers professional programs designed to prepare students for careers as music teachers, performers, or composers. Students seeking a broad, general coverage of the field may pursue the music minor. Metropolitan State College of Denver is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. In addition, the college teacher certification program is fully accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and by the Colorado Department of Education.
