Northeastern Illinois University - Music Department and the Dance Program

The Department of Music is comprised of two divisions: music and dance. We are a creative and performing arts unit made up of performers, composers, conductors, choreographers, theorists, musicologists and music education specialists who are dedicated to teaching in a student centered community of artist learners where all aspects of musical creativity and expression are encouraged in tandem with the development of skills, sensitivities and technical knowledge required of the professional musician and dancer.
The Department of Music offers courses leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts.
