Pacific University - Music Department

The music department offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in music, music education, and music with a performance emphasis in voice or piano. A minor in music also is offered. Pacific’s music major program is built upon studies in music theory and analysis, music history from ancient to post-modern eras, and performance opportunities in both classical and jazz idioms. Music education courses are designed to prepare students for elementary or secondary teaching. Performance studies courses are offered in composition, voice, piano, or other instruments with campus faculty or adjunct instructors from the Oregon Symphony and greater Portland area.
