The Willamette University music department offers music majors intensive, professional training in specialized areas, coupled with a balanced core of liberal arts courses. Curriculum offerings are designed to enable highly motivated individuals with diverse musical backgrounds to become skilled musicians capable of making artistic musical contributions to society. For the major and non-major alike, the department offers performance opportunities through private instruction, performing ensembles, and general music courses, many of which meet the fine arts requirements of Willamette's general education program.
