How to play:

A piano is played by pressing the keys with both hands. Nowadays, the standard piano has 88 keys, the 3 foot pedals too has specific functions.

First Known Pianos:

During 1709 in Florence, Bartolomeo C. created the gravecembalo col piano e forte, and by 1726 the changes of Bartolomeo C. became the basis of the modern piano.

The piano became very popular in the mid-18th century and was used in concerti, chamber music, salon music & in song accompaniments.

Types of Pianos:

There are 2 types of pianos anc each vary in size and form:
  • Horizontal/Grand Pianos: Parlor, Living Room, Concert & Baby to name a few.
  • Vertical/Upright Pianos: Professional Upright, Console, Full Size and Spinet.
