Instruments that create sound when slapped, plucked or strummed. here we have a list of string instruments & their particular characteristics.


Guitar Guitars are played by striking, plucking or strumming the strings.	Viola Normally, the viola is played and held much like the violin.

Banjo The banjo it had origin African and in the 19th century was brought into America by slaves.	Violin It can be played by rubbing the bow across the strings.

Lute The Lute was especially popular during the 16th to 17th centuries.	Cello The cellist or musician rubs the bow across the string to create sounds.

Ukulele The ukulele is played similarly to a guitar, by strumming.	Double Bass Also known as string bass, doghouse bass, acoustic bass, upright bas, or bass violin.
